Hello. Welcome!

First of all, I would like to explain what you will find here and how this space will work.

It all started with the desire to write a blog and share experiences and knowledge. The idea also involved creating a rhythm in the kitchen or about the kitchen. At the time, I was still an engineer in Brazil and needed something to help me stay connected to what I always loved: gastronomy. The project worked for a while but stopped when I moved to Europe and took a big turn in my life.

A few years have passed, and I feel that now is a good time to resume this project. The idea is to randomly select a book and a page from it to write about. Obviously, the book will be about gastronomy. Not just recipes, although most will be, but also books that provide knowledge about the history of gastronomy and food.

The selection is done in an Excel spreadsheet that I created with formulas and macros – a little touch of engineering for you. In total, there are 131 books and 35,000 pages of content. These are books I received as gifts, inherited from my ancestors, bought to cook at home, or acquired to help me professionally.

What I will bring to you here will not merely be a copy of the selected page. I don’t like easy tasks. My goal is to explore what that content allows me to do, using creativity in a way that makes me happy with what I write. There is also the possibility – and why not? – of executing a recipe if I find it interesting.

There are no imposed restrictions, and with that, I hope creativity flows smoothly. The main goal is to bring something fun and interesting for you. If you like it, share the blog with friends. If you think there is something that can be improved or if you have a cool idea that you think would be positive here, write to me.

See you soon…
